IThe Origin

The collection began as an archive. Every time a project produced a colour we could not find again, we recorded it. After eleven years there were enough to weave.

Each reference is named for the room it came from. Verneuil Champagne is the mohair from the Paris salon; Aravalli Saffron is the cotton from Jaipur.

Nothing is printed. Every colour is in the yarn.

IIInspiration

A studio drawer containing eleven years of rejected samples, each one labelled with a project and a date.

IIICraft

Silk woven in Lyon, linen in Puglia, mohair in Yorkshire, cotton hand-dyed with madder and indigo in Rajasthan. Minimum runs are small and repeat dye lots are honest about their variation.
